First thing I thought of when I saw the Snuggie for the first time… i put on my robe and wizard hat. Old old super old joke aside, the Snuggie looks like it could be used as part as a good halloween costume if you wear a wizard’s hat with it. Heck, they should have included that as part of the offer. Instead of the puny book light, give out a wizard’s hat and advertise that it doubles as a halloween costume. I bet they would tons of sales just from that. Second halloween idea: don’t give out the wizard hat and say it doubles as a cult robe costume.

The commercial itself doesn’t have anything too special about it. It’s a nice lady voiceover and I can’t make fun of the nice lady now can I? The only thing that was mildly funny was getting to watch the actors in the commercial walk around like they were in a cult stronghold.

Product Review

Now I never owned a Snuggie or knew anyone that bought it, but I have a few items that are similar. It’s called a bathrobe or sweatshirt or jacket or extra layers and a blanket to cover your feet. Yea, everyone already has some kind of a Snuggie. As for the tiny book light that the commercial people are using in the day time, I have my room light or the lamps on my tables and desks.

Funny thing is that many people actually buy the Snuggie when they have all the right clothes to keep warm already. As a consolation, if you did buy it, now you know 2 other ways you can use it for halloween. Oh I got another idea.

Third idea: wear it out on a normal day and freak the bejesus out of strangers.

Although all these As Seen On TV products say ‘30 Day Money Back Guarantee’, their customer service will run circles around you. Always assume you cannot return products you buy from TV commercials or infomercials.

Bottom line: don’t buy. You have a version of the Snuggie in your house already, why waste the money. (If the Snuggie included a wizard’s hat I would consider upgrading it to a buy.)
