I gotta admit, watching that made me hungry. Also I realised that if any of those actors in the commercial were real people, they would be the clumsiest, trip over chewed gum, people in the world. Yes, I’m talking about you, flip-it-right-onto-the-oven-top guy. Decently funny and entertaining commercial. Recommended to show to your friends if they’re bored.

Product Review

Alright so I know a friend that bought this product and to answer your first question, yes it works. I mean should we even be asking ourselves that question for the Big City Slider Station. The real question is how can it not work? It’s a just a metal griller with a press top; it’s gonna work, question is how well.

The Big City Slider Station isn’t as non-stick as advertised (like always). Imagine having to wash that thing out with its 5 semi-small indent circles. Many people are saying that the non-stick coating is cheap and WILL come off and attach to food after a few uses. Big caution to those looking to buy as non-stick material is toxic and may cause cancer.

As for how real life burger patties come out, unless you put tons of effort into making sure the meat gets a nice shape, the meat is going to come out an odd circle shape. The burgers are also a lot smaller than they look on TV. One reviewer makes a good comparsion by saying the mini-burger patties are more like the size of meatballs or ‘beef nuggets’. I thought we would have more to talk about…

Although all these As Seen On TV products say ‘30 Day Money Back Guarantee’, their customer service will run circles around you. Always assume you cannot return products you buy from TV commercials or infomercials.

Bottom line: don’t buy. For $20 you can (probably already have) buy a few different sized pans from Ikea that will have the ability to do much more than the Big City Slider Station and that will actually be used for more than two times you use the Big City Slider Station for.
