14 Year Old Boy Fools Police And Goes On A 5 Hour Patrol

Ok this story is straight out of a movie. It’s the most ridiculous story I’ve heard in a long time.
Last Saturday, a 14 year old kid, dressed up as a police officer, arrives at Chicago’s Grand Crossing District police station. Instead getting laughed at, he is able to sign out a police radio and ticket book, and gets assigned to a 5 hour police shift. The kid doesn’t get exposed until he comes back from his 5 hour patrol. The boy’s name was not released because he is a minor.
A 14-year-old aspiring police officer donned a uniform, walked into a Chicago police station and managed to get an assignment — patroling in a squad car for five hours before he was detected, police said Sunday
Police said they were investigating how the deception went undetected for so long in what they described as a serious security breach.
Police didn’t identify the boy because of his age. He has been charged as a juvenile with impersonating an officer.
Sorta embarrassing when a 14 year old boy is able to infiltrate the official police. The police should just enroll him in Police Acadamy and give him a job. If this stunt doesn’t prove that he’s able then I don’t know what will.
